Support groups

The Rehabilitation Department staff, who are social workers by training, provide support to the community of victims of hostilities – bereaved parents, widows and widowers, orphans, disabled persons, spouses of invalids, bereaved siblings and parents of disabled children – with mental, personal and group assistance, in order to help them cope with the trauma and bereavement.

As part of the rehabilitation process, we operate group meetings and volunteer service.

Group Meetings

The National Insurance Institute's Rehabilitation Department holds support groups, led by professionals. The goal of these groups is to assist in coping with situations of bereavement, injury and trauma.

You can choose, among several types of existing groups listed below, the group most suitable for you:

  • Care and support groups: these groups hold regular meetings at fixed dates. The groups are led by professional instructors who will help you cope with loss, adjust to disability and more.
  • Short-term groups and workshops: the purpose of the meetings of these groups is to discuss defined issues and receive counselling from a professional in the field.
  • Open groups meetings: multi-participant meetings with various activities, such as lectures, theatre plays, movies and other activities. These meetings take place every three months.
